This stunning sideboard, designed in 1965, embodies the essence of Danish Modern with its clean lines, functional design, and expert craftsmanship.
The sideboard features tambour doors that roll seamlessly into the back, a rare technique today that is both aesthetically pleasing and functionally ideal, minimizing the space needed to access the cabinet’s interior. Inside, you’ll find beautifully finished adjustable shelves on each side and a middle section with three pull-out dovetail trays for added storage. The curved front edges, tambour doors, base, and legs are all constructed from solid wood. The legs are slightly recessed to accommodate skirting boards, allowing the piece to be placed close to the wall. Additionally, its veneered back makes it an excellent room divider if space permits. The elegant lines and high-quality craftsmanship ensure this piece will look beautiful in any setting.
Now fully professionally refinished, the sideboard has regained its rich wood color and looks absolutely stunning. The tambour doors run smoothly and function perfectly. As with any restored piece, there are minor areas of light wear consistent with age and use, including a slight blemish (as photographed).
