A stunning antique teachers desk made from oak and pine. We are unsure the exact age of this item but we are presuming it’s around 100 years old. The desk has an oak frame and pine drawers that contrast well with the darker frame. We love the clean lines and the simple design of this desk along with the age and the wear to the wood. The desk has two pull out drawers that have two bun handles on each drawer. One handle is slightly different from the other three but this has been changed a long time ago. The desk has a lovely colour and patination to the wood top and legs that can only be achieved with age. A stunning item that would work well in the most contemporary or traditional spaces.
The desk has been cleaned down and refinished in a buffing wax over the original finish. This has given a deep shine to the wood and really brought out the charm in he grain. The desk is used and shows signs of wear but its in fully working order and structurally sound. The legs and top show scuffs and scratches but this is all part of the character of the desk.
