Very nice Arts and Crafts style hall stand. This unusual hall stand is hand made in what seems to be a walnut type wood. We are unsure of the origin of this item but think its from Europe and dates from around the 80s. Due to the proportions of this item we suspect it was bespoke made to order. This small unit has so much charm and is made to a great standard with nicely bevelled mirror glass. This has arts and crafts influences with the design and an art nouveau style as well with the leaf carving at the top. This unit has a lower lockable double cupboard and a small drawer above. There is then a small shelf and a mirrored section above. Very nice unit that will fit in those tight spaces and alcoves.
The unit has been cleaned and lightly polished. The original varnish is in very clean condition and the item has been well looked after. The main defect is the running of colour from the hinges. It has created a dark patch on the doors. There is no break or damage to hand carving to the top. A Very nice charming item that is an 8 out of 10 for condition.
