A very nice chest of drawers from Austinsuite, designed by Frank Guille. This UK brand was known for designing desireable stylish drawers and sideboards. They often feature sleek integrated grab handles just like this stylish chest of drawers. The unit has a very plain Scandinavian Danish style with nice reddish teak veneers and rosewood fronted handles. The drawers have four well proportioned drawers with the top drawer showing the gold Austinsuite badge. This chest of drawers is a great size with lovely sleek tapered legs. Stunning item that would fit very well within someone’s retro themed or contemporary bedroom.
The chest has been cleaned back. The item has then been refinished in layers of hard wax oil. This has given a deep shine to the lovely smooth veneer wood. This is an exceptional example of a well looked after piece of mid century furniture. The cabinet shows minimal use and minimal marks and damage. The overall condition is a high 8.5 out of 10.
