Green painted 19th Century wooden bench with original paint. Simple yet sturdy with a back rail and splayed legs. This bench originates from Austria and dates from before 1890. This bench has so much character and such a lovely colour and slightly wonky charm to it. It’s simple and primitive design make a great option for kitchens, hallways or other larger living spaces. The bench has a slight slope to it and is higher one end than the other.
In good sturdy condition with some age related wear to the paint which adds to the overall character. This wear has created a fantastic patina to the bench. Any loose parts have been reglued and any woodworm has been fully treated. The bench has been lightly cleaned and waxed to give a nice shine and protection to the original paint.
