A British John Herbert designed for A. Younger Ltd Drinks Cabinet. Younger were renowned for their high quality workmanship and mainly retailed through the Department Store ‘Heals’. Designed as part of their award winning ranges this Cocktail cabinet was produced in low numbers so rarely comes to market. Beautifully simplistic design, constructed from solid teak & afromosia. The Cabinet is incredibly well made as with all Younger furniture and features stunning design. The cabinet consists of a double top display cabinet along with a two sliding door lower compartment. There is also a very nice pull out Formica prep surface tray.
The drinks cabinet has been cleaned thoroughly. Then coats of oils and wax polish have been applied to refinish the unit. As you can see from the pictures the cabinet is in great original condition. There are no loose parts or any damage. The cabinet shows little use and has some ring and feint cup marks on the top surfaces. This is a stunning example of high end English furniture from the mid century. I would say that the condition is a high 8.5 out of 10. There are some dark spots shown in the picture and the top is very very clean.
