This is an early example of light oak mid century military issue furniture. This particular sideboard is stamped with A.M Crown stamp that is from the Air Ministry and dates from around the early 50s. This is likely to be made by Moss Partners Ltd for the Ministry of Defence. The sideboard is constructed out of solid and veneered light oak and offers plenty of storage, with a double door fixed shelved cupboard and two good-sized drawers, one with a green baize. This would look and great in a kitchen or dining living area.
The sideboard has been cleaned down and refinished in a buffing wax. This has helped enhance the original finish along with giving a nice deep shine to the light golden oak grains. The cabinet does show signs of use and wear with a few knocks and scratches. This is all part of the used characteristic look but is free from damage or major defects. The overall condition is 8 out of 10 and this lovely sideboard would make a stunning addition to anyones home.
