This is a fabulous fold out teak bar by Turnidge of London. The bar is made from teak veneer with nice inset grab handles. This is a very versatile and practical model that can be used folded up or when extended out. The bar has plenty of storage that can also be accessed from the front teak lockable doors or the glass sliding doors on the back. The bar has a fold out top that is a great prep surface made from wood effect formica with glass insert. Turnidge bars have so much class and style with very strong scandinavian design features making this an outstanding piece of furniture.
The bar is set on castors and can be moved around relatively easy.
This bar is in very good overall condition. It has been throughly cleaned and has been refinished with hard wax oil . This bar does show signs of wear and some blemishes in the original finish but looks very good after our refinish and has plenty of years of party hosting left. The formica is in very clean order as well. Some chips to the lower plinth that have been filled and repaired. Overall this item is a 7.5 out of 10 and would look stunning in a mid century themed or contemporty home.
As with most Mid Century items of furniture, there will be signs of prior use, surface scratches, fading etc. But nothing to detract from how stunning this item looks. Please see photo’s for any obvious defects.
