Nice light ash wood Danish roll top tambour door bureau unit. This sleek unit was made in Denmark and dates from around the 1970s. Normally Danish furniture of this era was made from teak but this piece has been made in a light ash veneer. It has a simplistic design and even the handles on the roll top door are minimal and sleek. The cabinet consists of a ash tambour door that rolls up to expose a divided area along with a pull out work shelf. The bottom has two cupboards with press-in open doors and are handle free. The cabinet has been set on light coloured solid wood legs and is made to a good standard. This unit would be perfect as a home office or laptop table as well as providing plenty of storage.
The unit has been cleaned back and refinished in a hardwax oil to restore the shine and protection to the ash wood. The unit shows previous use but is pretty clean with no major defects. There is a ring mark to the top and some spot stains to the side. No major defects. One small wax repair to the back corner.
