A simple and elegant teak desk from the mid century. This desk is made from a light teak with a sapele wood veneer top. We are unsure of the brand of this desk but it is stamped underneath with ‘made in Denmark’. It has lovely solid brass handles and slender legs supporting the bank of drawers. This desk has a very practical design along with lovely Scandinavian style . It would be perfect desk for a home office or studio, and is really well made. The rear of he desk also looks appealing, so would look great in the middle of a room or office.
This desk has been cleaned and rubbed back. It has been refinished with layers of water repellent hard wax oils. This enhances the grain and wood protection. There are signs of wear and lines to the top that are hard to see in the pictures.. The desk is pretty clean all over and and any significant marks will be shown in the pictures. Overall this desk is an 8 out of 10 and has signs of use and has been a well looked after item from the 1960s.
