A very nice example of an early, original Ercol Windsor range coffee table. This rectangular coffee table is made from solid elm top and solid beech frame and rack. Ercol are known for producing high quality pieces of furniture and this stunning table dates from the early 1960s. This particular table has lovely swirly elm grains that you cannot get on the later Ercol furniture. This coffee table is known as model 459 and features the iconic magazine rack underneath. The table has been finished in Ercol’s lightest and most popular finish ‘Blonde’ and would made a stunning addition to anyones home.
This coffee table has been clean and rubbed back. The top has been completely stripped and refinished in many coats of hard wax oil. The whole table has then been finished off with a buffing wax and has given a deep shine to the elm and beech wood. The table top and legs are very close to immaculate, it has been very well looked after looks stunning after a refinish. Hardly any signs of any wear and no significant defects or marks.
Overall this item is a 9 out of 10 and would look stunning in a mid century themed or contemporary area.
