This is a rare set of early Candlestick chairs by Ercol. These chairs are the earliest model of these and date from the late 1950s. They include the Ercol Production label. They have a slightly different shaped seat base and cross over stretchers to later models. They are in the lighter blonde finish and constructed out of solid beech frames with a solid elm seat base. These are one of the most desirable models of Ercol chairs in the most desirable finish. A super stylish and very well made set of chairs that would made a statement in anyones home.
The chairs are in exceptionally clean condition for the age and show very minimal signs of use or any heavy wear. They have signs of use use but have been very well looked after over the past 60 years. They have been cleaned and lightly polished. The condition is a 8.5 out of 10. Chairs are solid with no loose parts or splits.
