This is a G Plan compact Sideboard from the Fresco Range. This is G Plan’s most popular and sought after range and has a very high built quality along with stunning solid afromosia grab handles. This item was designed by V. B. Wilkins. This mid century sideboard has very nice grains and minimal styling along with a very practical layout. This body of the sideboard was previously badly painted. We have had the body repainted in a deep low shine black. This contrasts to the red teak veneer and really makers the doors and drawers pop out. There is double central cupboard and two end cupboards with removable shelves. At the top there is a line of three drawers where the central drawer is larger. The end drawer is a felt lined cutlery drawer. This is all on top of stunning solid afromosia turned legs. This has great proportions, stunning design and top quality craftsmanship. This all adds up to a stunning sideboard that will make a great impact to anyone’s retro themed home.
This sideboard has been cleaned back and the body had been sanded, prepped and re painted in black paint. The doors, drawers and legs have been stripped back and refinished with layers of hardwax osmo oil. This has given the sideboard a very deep shine and protection to the veneers and paint. The unit is a 8.5 out of 10 overall for Condition. This is a stunning upcycled G Plan sideboard that is very clean all over with no major defects.
This is a used but well looked after item with plenty of retro charm and style. Please see photo’s for any obvious dents or knocks.
