This is a G Plan compact Sideboard from the Fresco Range. This is G Plan’s most popular and sought after range and has a very high built quality along with stunning solid afromosia grab handles. This item was designed by V. B. Wilkins. This mid century sideboard has very nice grains and minimal styling along with a very practical layout. There is double cebtral cupboard and two end cupboards with removable shelves. At the top there is a line of three drawers where the central drawer is larger. The end drawer is a felt lined cutlery drawer. This is all on top of stunning solid afromosia turned legs. This has great proportions, stunning design and top quality craftsmanship. This all adds up to a stunning sideboard that will make a great impact to anyone’s retro themed home.
This sideboard is in stunning vintage condition, the cabinet has been cleaned back and finished with a light polish as the original finish is stunning and super clean. Even the colour of this sideboard shows it’s not seen much light and looks as if it’s come right our the g plan factory. The teak and afromosia is darker and rich. It’s the best condition g plan sideboard we have had. As with most mid century furniture, there will be signs of prior use, but nothing to detract from how fabulous this sideboard looks. There is very minimal signs of use and only noticeable defect is the slight black mark to the top. Overall this is a 9 out of 10 for Condition. This is an impressive looking and well built piece of original mid century furniture.
