Stunning solid walnut hand made dressing table. This has one of the largest mirrors we have seen incorporated into an item of furniture. We are unsure of the origin of this item but we feel it could be European. It has a lovely simple design with a bottom cupboard and one drawer. There is a opening to sit at and a very large mirror on top. The mirror frame is also made from walnut and is hand carved with intricate shell detail to the top. This would make a very nice hall or console unit but also very functional as a desk or dressing table. Its made to a high standard and would have been very expensive when it was new. We date the item to around the 1980s.
The unit is in the original condition and has had a light polish. It does show some wear and tear to the original varnish but no major damage. The top and the mirror are in very clean order. The sides and the bottom plinth show the main defects. Any major marks will be highlighted in the pictures. 7.5 out of 10 for original condition.
The mirror is detachable from the bottom for ease of transportation.
