Lovely long sideboard by Austinsuite furniture. This dates from around the mid 1960s and was designed by Frank Guille for Austinsuite. This large sideboard features stylish grab handles and wonderful solid teak sleigh type legs. This sideboard is made from a lovely smooth light teak veneer with darker Afromosia solid wood handles. The unit has a double door cupboard with a removable shelf inside, a drop down ‘drinks’ cupboard at the in the end, with a bank of three drawers – top drawer is red felt lined with cutlery dividers. This sideboard has great build quality and super stylish design.
The sideboard has been cleaned and rubbed back. The top has been stripped back and then has been refinished in osmo hardwax oil. There are some feint drip marks down the front of the drawers. The bottom drawer handle has been sanded down a small bit as had a small split on the end. Very hard to notice by looking. Very clean top, sides and door fronts. Overall an8 out of 10 for condition.
