This delightful Avalon Yatton chest of drawers is quite simply stunning.
This has smooth walnut veneers and solid beech frame that creates a subtle contrast. The chest of drawers have a very typical 1950s atomic design along with strong Scandinavian design influences. The unit is sat upon nice slender dark tapered legs. The unit consist of a of four drawers with angled fronts to give a bee hove style look. The drawers have integrated hidden handles and slight curve to the bottom.. A very stylish item of furniture from the early mid century and with plenty of storage. We have not seen these models very often and has a very striking look that will sit fabulously in a mid century modern or contemporary themed home.
The chest of drawers has been completely cleaned and rubbed back. Then it has been finished in layers of oil and buffing waxes to restore the deep shine to the walnut and protect the vintage wood. This item is in superb condition with a very clean top and cabinet all over. The item is not new and shows signs of previous use. After refinishing, the sideboard is a 8.5 out of 10 for condition and is a stunning example of high quality English mid Century furniture.
