This mid century dining set dates from around the late 1970s. It’s is a repro of those produced by the Hungarian designer Marcel Breuer, a variation on his iconic Cesca cantilever chair. These chair have gold colour steel tubular frame, a teak colour wooden finish and a cane seat and backrest. The set comes with 4 chairs and a lovely octagonal shaped tulip legged table. This has a teak colour frame along with a glass insert and set on curved gold colour tubular legs. this is a lovely set that’s getting harder to find as complete and with original rattan.
The dining set is in original condition and does show signs of wear and tear. No damage but the gold colouring has some fading and wear shown in the pictures. There is no damage to the original rattan but maybe a few tiny paint speckles. One chair it got a slight wobble side to side but nothing too major and can be used perfectly fine. There are two top brass caps missing from back of the chair frame. (Shown in picture) The table has some marks to the glass but only surface scratches and the frame and legs show some wear. Overall the set is 7 out of 10 for condition and this set would make a lovely addition to anyone’s home.
