Morris of Glasgow Chest of Three Drawers These wonderful drawers are made from a vintage walnut veneer It has sycamore edging and blade-shaped sleek legs. This dressing table is a stunning piece of design and craftsmanship from the 1950s. It has three drawers which have the gold stamp for the ‘Cumbrae’ range of antique furniture by Morris of Glasgow. This is a very striking designed item and although designed in the 50s would look right at home in a ultra modern home or retro themed home.
The set have been cleaned and rubbed back. Then the chest has been refinished using multiple layers of waxes and has really given the dressing table a deep shine and really brought out the grains on the grainy walnut veneer and given contrast to the lighter wood used. There is one glued in piece of veneer on the bottom right hand side. This is an old repair And apart from this the chest is near on immaculate and the overall condition of this is a 9 out of 10 . It has been a very well looked after and re polished item of furniture from the mid century.
