A very nice example of a Original mid century Sideboard. This is a unusual format and design of sideboard and has been constructed with a walnut veneer. We are unsure of the brand of this item but it dates from around mid 1950s and is very likely English made. It has a lovely drop down drinks cabinet with lined drawer below. There is a double storage cupboard and a very funky open end rounded display shelf. This sideboard is also made to look good from the back of the unit and would look wonderful in the centre of a room or used as a room/space divider. The unit has shaped brass pull handles and very nice turned solid wood legs. The build quality is to a good standard and has an atomic design we have not seen before.
This sideboard is in very nice vintage condition. The unit has been cleaned and finished with a combination of oil and buffing wax. As with most mid century furniture, there will be signs of prior use, but nothing to detract from how fabulous this sideboard looks. Would look stunning in a mid century themed home. The overall condition is a 7.5 out of 10 as shows some signs of previous use, with a small chip on the bottom of the drop down door and some minor staining to front.
