The Iconic and Sought After Nathan ‘Circles’ Sideboard in Teak.
This model from Nathan furniture dates back to early 1960s and features very strong Scandinavian design influences. The Circles design has become a very recognisable item of mid century furniture and is now harder to find. This has great build quality as with all Nathan furniture. The sideboard has a bank of three drawers at one end, a central double cupboard and a drop down leaf cocktail cabinet at the other end. Featuring typical plain wood grains all set upon the typical Nathan end legs frames. This is an exceptional example of mid century furniture made in England.
This sideboard has been fully cleaned and rubbed back and then refinished with osmo hard wax oil and to restore a deep shine to the Teak veneers that have achieved such a nice patina over the years. The sideboard top is in good order. It does show a light cup ring with a mark and some minimal wear. The drawer fronts and doors are very clean and show minimal wear. Any major defects are shown in the pictures. The overall condition is a extremely good 8.5 out of 10. Very nice clean example of this rare Nathan sideboard.
