This stunning chair is very similar to Norwegian manufacturer Westofa. The chair is set on a cantilever style recliner which is easy to maneover to an almost vertical position. We can date this chair to around the 1970s and we are sure it’s Norwegian. The cantilever mechanism is using a combination of ropes and metal hooks. It’s a very interesting chair that has a great look and profile to it. It’s made from a light wood bentwood frame with green leather cushions to the seat.
The chair is in great original condition and has been very well looked after. The leather has been polished and cleaned and the frame has been wax polished. The leather shows some small scuffs on the back top edges. These are shown in the pictures along with any other defects or damage. The wood frames are in very good condition and show no signs of breaks or splits. There is a small rust part of the black metal arm insert. Overall the condition is a 8 out of 10.
