This is a very unusual cabinet made from solid oak and oak veneer. We are not sure the brand of this cabinet but it does look like a vintage piece of contract furniture. Maybe for a school or a military office. It’s build quality is very good and has solid oak legs with a contrasting mahogany band. The item was originally an oak veneer with inset horizontal lines that run along the doors and sides. The cabinet has been Upcycled and painted in a black satin paint due to the damage to the existing veneer. This cabinet is unique and very practical and would made a real impact in any one’s home.
The cabinet was in really bad heavily used condition and the oak veneer was flaking and splitting all over. We decided that the unit could really be Upcycled and reused by painting it black. This have given it a real striking bold look. The legs and handles have been stripped and refinished in a hardwax oil. Item is now very clean on the outside. Some split off veneer inside the bottom door but overall and solid and stunning unit.
