This Arts and Crafts table is made in the style of Peter Waals. We cannot say for sure it’s contributed to Waals but it’s very similar to his designs. This is made from solid Oak and has a very simple design typical of the arts and crafts movement. The refectory legs are very simplistic in style and compliment the solid wood rectangular slab top. This table is very well made and the level of craftsmanship is extremely high, with the exposed dovetail joints and the stretcher exposed end. This table dates from around the 1920s to around 1950s. This is a very minimal styled table that would look at home in a contemporary or traditional styled dining area.
The table is in very nice used condition. The original varnish finish has held up very well and although shows signs of wear it’s has added to the character of the table. There is a scratch on the table shown in the pictures and some general wear. This has been cleaned and lightly polished and overall the condition is a high 7.5 out of 10. Very stunning item that is very rare or a one off and would make a statement in anyone’s home.
