This stunning small sideboard dates from the 1950s and is a very early example of an Ercol sideboard. This sideboard is in the light blonde finish and is made from solid elm with lovely beech splayed legs. This sideboard has the early blue and gold label present. This wonderful ercol sideboard has adjustable shelving inside a double cupboard and a lower large storage drawer. This has the exposed dovetail joints on all the edges - very typical of Ercol and their high quality craftsmanship. The sideboard sits on the original solid beech framed splayed legs. This is a rarer Ercol model and we have not seen any come to market in years. This would be a real statement item in a contemporary or a traditional themed home.
The condition of this sideboard is very good and it has been well looked after. The sideboard shows minor signs of use and after being refinished with hard buffing wax this is a high 8.5 out of 10 for overall condition. The top is very clean (small feint blemish on top shown in the pictures) . Very nice example of rare piece of Ercol furniture.
