Iconic Early Ercol 1950’s Sideboard. This delightful sideboard was designed by Lucian Ercolani for Ercol in the 1950s. This is the model ‘120’. Its frame and lovely splayed legs are made of beech. The sideboard has two panelled doors with hinges, revealing two drawers. The internal cupboard is divided by a shelf and features a quirky wooden latch for locking the doors. Early Ercol Production Makers label on inside of door. These early sideboards are getting harder to find and really are made extremely well like all Ercol furniture.
The sideboard has been completely stripped back. Then it has been refinished in shellac french polish finish. This gives a real deep shine and shows off the patina of the light wood along with protection to the wood surfaces. Please see pictures for any obvious marks or defects. The item is very clean and stunning condition. Overall condition is a very high 8.5 out of 10In lovely vintage condition.
As with most mid century furniture there will be signs of prior use, but nothing to detract from how delightful this sideboard looks.
