This vintage sideboard is from William Lawerence of Nottingham. This Danish inspired teak sideboard has a sleek design with minimal styling. This sideboard features plain doors and drawers with small angled hardwood handles that contrast in colour. This has lovely light teak grained veneer with solid beech legs. The build quality is very good and is equal to the likes of both G plan and Mcintosh. The cabinet has ample storage with central double cupboard along with a drop down drinks cabinet. There are three good size drawers to the right hand end with the top lined in red baize. There are also two large drawers and a central smaller drawer. This is a lovely example of small batch furniture from the mid century with great build quality. This is a large rarely seen sideboard that will make a statement in anyone’s home.
This sideboard has been cleaned back and then re finished with layers of hard wax oil and a buffing wax. This has given the sideboard a very deep shine and protection to the veneers and finish. The unit is a 8 out of 10 overall for condition. The right hand side has some scuff marks as it may have been stored on its side at some point. There are some surface marks but nothing major.
This is a used but well looked after item with plenty of retro charm and style. Please see photo’s for any obvious dents or knocks.
