A very nice example of a original Mid Century Sideboard from the Portsmouth Brand of White and Newton. This 7 and 1/2 foot long teak sideboard has very sleek minimalist style very typical of white and newton. This is of high quality as are all White and Newton sideboards and its a very heavy solid item of furniture. The symmetrical design along with minimalist styling and great lines makes this a very nice example of Danish influenced furniture from the mid century. The sideboard has 3 central drawers with grooved out pull handles and the top drawer lined in black vinyl and with dividers. There is also a large double cupboard with bi flooding sliding doors either side. This sideboard has amazingly designed legs and also has a slight curve to the front. This sideboard is one of the rarest models of this wonderful brand and would make a real impact in anyone’s home.
This sideboard is in very nice condition. It has been throughly cleaned and has a wax polish over the original finish to enhance the wonderful grain and future protection. There are feint marks on the top and a original varnish drip on one handle. Overall this item is a strong 8 out of 10 and would look stunning in a mid century themed or contemporary home.
