A very nice small chest of drawers from White & Newton of Portsmouth. This chest of three drawers are made from a combination of solid and veneer oak. They have lovely round handles along with unusual notches to the front edging of the drawer carcass. The drawers are made very well as all White and Newton furniture. They have a small upstand on the top and they have been set on oak coloured solid wooden legs. A very nice size and sleek look to these drawers that will make them a great addition to any home.
The drawers have been completely stripped back and refinished in a shellac french polish. This has given a deep golden shine to the oak wood along with protection the surface. The are in very good condition with the odd signs of wear. Overall the drawers are a high 8 out of 10 for overall restored condition.
