This is lovely set of Mid Century Ercol dining chairs In light blonde finish. These chairs are from the Ercol Quaker Windsor range which today is still in production. They feature a high spindle back with curved shaped back piece. They are made from a solid elm seat and solid beech frames and feature very stylish high quality design which is very typical of early Ercol. They come as a set of four chairs with two standard chairs and two carvers. They are finished in what is known as the blonde finish which is the lightest and most desirable finish from the 1960s. As you can see these chairs are timeless and would fit in any traditional or contemporary dining area. Ercol do still produce chairs and are priced around £250-£400 per chair. These ones have character and a patina that you would never get on a new ercol chair. These date to the early 1960s and have been well looked after. Some chairs have the gold ercol label present.
The chairs have been lightly cleaned and polished. The original finish has held up well but there are some small areas where the varnish has gone a slightly translucent colour which is very common with vintage Ercol. There are no lose parts or any damage to any of the chairs. The main wear spots are shown in the pictures
I would say that the condition is a 7.5 of 10. These are not new but a fine example of very well looked after original Ercol items
