This is lovely example of an Early Ercol plank table from the Mid Century. This is the early 50s plank table that is little bit smaller and has the blue & gold Ercol production label. This is from the original Windsor range and is in the lighter ercol finish better known as blonde finish. This shows the contrast between the solid elm top and the lighter beech legs. this table top has very nice swirling elm grains that cannot be replicated by the newer ercol models.
The Table has have stripped and cleaned thoroughly, Then several layers of danish oils and a buffing wax had been applied. Also the legs and frame have been re polished in a buffing wax . As you can see from the pictures the original finish has held up very well over the last 50 years. The legs and the top now has been restored. There are no loose parts or any damage to the table.
I would say that the condition is a 9 out of 10. This is not new but a fine example of very well looked after original Ercol item. Some of these tables are listed for around £500 plus. I have tried to capture the condition the best i can through photos and description.
