Stunning superior build quality mid century sideboard. We are unsure of the brand of this sideboard but it’s hands down the highest quality sideboard we have ever come across. Even white and Newton. Also Younger and other high end danish items are not made to the same high spec. Most of the sideboard is made from solid wood. It is only the wonderful walnut doors that are made from veneer. The drawers and the rest of the construction is solid mahogany type wood or walnut. The proportions and style of this sideboard make it look very English and of the early 50s period. This has an imposing look that will make it a stunning showpiece in any home. Has two drawers and a twin sliding door cupboard on ballbearing runners and adjustable shelving. We have never seen another sideboard even similar to this so we can only assume it must have been a one off or built in very very small numbers.
The condition of this sideboard is very good. The original finish has held up extremely well and has been very well looked after. There is a small repair to the veneer and some other filling to some parts of the veneer that are very hard to notice. The doors have been stripped and refinished and an overall Buffing wax has been applied. This gives the walnut a deep shine to show off the fabulous grains. Overall it’s a very good 8 out of 10 for Condition and anyone who owns this sideboard will be very satisfied.
