This is a fabulous 1950s rare piece from the British brand of Dalescraft. This butlers table / tray has a beautifully shaped bentwood frame which the glass tray, with wooden edging that sits on. This has two fixed shelves underneath for additional storage. The whole table and tray can be carried by the looped handles of the frame, and the glass tray can be carried on it’s own by the cut out handles that fit over the looped ones. A really stylish design by Malcolm Walker for Dalescraft. A super stylish item with high build quality from the mid century. This item is super scarce and ultra cool.
The tray table has been rubbed and cleaned back and a shellac french polish has been applied. This has given a nice shine and protection to the wood and ply veneer shelves. There are some feint marks to the top tray shown in the pictures. The item is in great original condition and now is ready to go into someone’s home. The overall condition is a 8 out of 10.
