This is a superb quality antique English flame mahogany 4ft serpentine Victorian Duchesse dressing table, circa 1860. The dressing table features six working bow front drawers with a smooth sliding action and the original turned mahogany knobs to the top section. The unit has carved side supports and a lovely curved top mirror. The serpentine shaped and curved frieze features a smooth front section with a central drawer. All drawers are constructed with mahogany and are hand dovetailed with the original knobs. The dressing table sits on four stunning turned patterned legs, which connect to a shaped footboard. All in all, this a stunning dressing table with a superb colour and patina.
This dressing table is in stunning condition for its age. The unit has been previously refinished with a French polish and has held up extremely well. There are a few small chips to the veneers on the edges but nothing major at all. Overall this is a 8 out 10 for condition and would make a great statement item in anyones home.
