This is an amazing example of a Victorian bookcase. This solid oak cabinet dates from around 1900-1910 and has stunning build quality. This is An usual proportioned item as normally book cases are tall and narrow. This unit has lovely sliding glazed doors that are lockable and supplied with key. There are two adjustable shelves inside and the whole item is made from solid oak and hand crafted. Would make a lovely sideboard or console table in a period property.
The unit has been cleaned and rubbed back. Then a buffing waxes finish has been applied and this has helped enhance the original finish. The cabinet shows very minimal wear and is close to immaculate for a unit over 100 years old. Overall condition is 8.5 out of 10.
