This is a stunning sideboard in walnut with light oak drawers and doors . We are unsure of the brand of this item but we are sure that it originates from Europe and it may be German or Austrian. It dates from around the 1950s and the build quality is quite high. The drawers show details of hand cut dove tails and the feel of the design is more transitional that later furniture. The sideboard has a large double cupboard made in light oak with detailed handles across the two door panels. To the side there is a bank of three large drawers with a louvered design. There is also two slimline removable trays that fit with in the drawer bank. The outer and legs are made of walnut and this creates a very nice contrasting look. This is a very unusual model sideboard and has stunning retro charm that will light up anyone’s home.
The condition of this sideboard is very good. Overall for Condition 8 out of 10. Very clean top and front. No broken or loose parts and this has have very well looked after. Drawers all run smoothly. The unit has also been refinished in a combination of oils and waxes to give a deep shine to the grain. The top shows some small marks and a cup ring. Shown in the pictures. Lovely item that would fit seamlessly into a ultra contemporary or vintage themed home.
